Where to see the Texas Bluebonnets

You’ve seen pictures online of this beautiful flower, now the question is, where can I see the Texas Bluebonnets? It is a must for any Texan or those who just happen to be visiting the Lone Star State in the Springtime. The bluebonnet was named the state flower of Texas in 1901. Given its name because the shape of the petals on the flower resemble that of a bonnet worn by pioneer women to shield them from the sun, they make a beautiful backdrop for any photograph.

Bluebonnets usually come into bloom at the end of March and stay around until May. When looking for where to see the Texas Bluebonnets, there are many places in Texas Hill Country to spot these beauties and one of them is the countryside just outside of Brenham. As you drive along the interstate, you’ll spot fields with thousands of bluebonnets just waiting to light up your camera.
