Whitewater Tubing in West Virginia

Are you trying to cool off from the heat of the summer months?  Would you like to relax as you float downstream on a river?  Or maybe, you’d like to battle some white water rapids? Well, you can do all three by joining River Riders for an afternoon of adventure.

Located just an hour drive northwest of Washington DC, River Riders is found in the small historic town of Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia.  The town is bordered by both the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, which make it the perfect spot for river fun!

After being dropped off at the starting point, you’ll make your way downriver. You’ll encounter class 1-111 rapids as well as patches of smooth water, so you can enjoy both adventure and relaxation all together.  The whole trip on average lasts about two hours and what makes this river really special is its location.  Flowing through the beautiful Appalachian Mountains is definitely an added plus!  During your trip, you’ll also float underneath two bridges which is a really cool experience.  So if you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend checking out what USA Today voted as one of the top 5 tubing trips in America.

Many thanks to River Riders  for allowing me to experience your White Water Tubing.  All opinions, as always, are my own.
