Indoor Skydiving – Las Vegas

Indoor Skydiving is a fast growing sport and lots of fun! It’s a way of getting to enjoy the feeling of free-fall without actually jumping out of an airplane. For those interested in skydiving, I would definitely recommend trying the indoor version first.

Vegas Indoor Skydiving was the first facility of its kind to open in the United States. Built in 1982, the vertical wind tunnel there is 12 feet wide and 22 feet tall. Powered by a 1000 horsepower motor attached to the propeller from a DC-3 airplane, it produces enough wind to easily support the weight of an average adult. The wind tunnel is also a great way for professional skydivers to practice their moves and stability.

At Vegas Indoor Skydiving, each guest will attend a brief training class, suit up in all the necessary flight gear, and then jump in the tunnel and fly. The entire experience typical takes just one hour.

Indoor skydiving is a not only great for adults, but kids as well. And being smaller in size is actually an advantage because the smaller the person, the easier it is for the instructor to help them maneuver.

Many thanks to Vegas Indoor Skydiving for allowing me to experience your wind tunnel. All opinions, as always, are my own.
