Ice Skating in San Francisco

Union Square is often referred to as the “heart” of San Francisco. It serves as the site of many public concerts and events, art shows, and private parties. Located near the theater district, it’s become a popular shopping destination, boasting six major department stores. You’ll also find a number of great restaurants and art galleries all within close proximity of the square.

However, every winter is when Union Square really comes to life with the annual Union Square Ice Rink and Christmas tree lighting. During the day, you can skate against the backdrop of some of the city’s most beautiful buildings and at night, you’ll forget that you’re even in San Francisco. With the sounds of top hits and Christmas songs coming through the speakers, it’s easy for both adults and children alike to enjoy an exciting experience on the ice.
